Dr. Nigam Dave is currently working at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University as Dean and I/C Director School of Liberal Studies. He is also a member, Board of Governors and Member, Academic Council. Prior to joining Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University in 2008 Dr. Dave was working with a women’s Commerce College in Ahmedabad from 1993.Dr. Dave specializes in Communication, Literature and Leadership. Dr. Dave has presented 15 papers in International, National Conferences and has successfully guided two M.Phil. researchers. Dr. Sharma, is engaged as an Assistant Professor with School of Liberal Studies, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) Gandhinagar. She is a gold medalist and holds a Ph.D. in Psychology. She has received professional training at National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore.
She has over 9 years of work experience in teaching, handling various psychological issues, and providing training in holistic personality development and to encourage the move towards actualizing one’s potential. She has been extensively involved in honing skill sets for management students to make them suitable for the job market. Dr. Sharma has worked in several research and training assignments in the areas of human behavior, personality development & psychometric profiling. She has conducted several workshops, MDPs and training programmes for the academia, corporate & NGOs in various areas of behavior and interpersonal effectiveness.
She has participated in various conferences and workshops with publications in academic journals. She was the speaker at TEDx conference-2010. She has twelve years of experience into the field of Academics and extensive research. Prior to SLS-PDPU, she was associated with Stevens Business School as an Assistant Dean; with ICFAI Business School – Ahmedabad, with Entrepreneurship Development Institute as an Academic Associate and has been invited as a guest faculty at AMA, MGLI and various other Management Institutes.
To her credit, Dr. Himani has many research papers published in National and International journals and books. Recently she has worked on a research project sponsored by Third State Finance Commission, Government of Gujarat where she extensively analyzed the fiscal performance of Gujarat state and provided revenue and expenditure forecasting for the award period of third state finance commission. She was also involved with the projects sponsored by World Bank, ILO, EU in the area of environment economics and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Prashanta Chandra Panda is Associate Professor of Economics. Dr. Panda completed his M.A. from Hydearabad University, M.Phil from CSRD (Eco), J.N.U. and Ph.D. from Utkal University. He was awarded with JRF (UGC) scholarship in Economics. Before joining the PDPU, he served as Associate Professor in Economics in the School of Management in KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. He served there for more than six years. He taught Micro-Economics, Macro-Economics, Indian Economics, International Business, Public Finance, Debt Market Management there. He served there as Area Chaiperson in Economics and Professor-in –charge Students’ Affair. One of his major achievements has been the Local Organising Secretary for 92nd Annual Conference, 27-29 December, 2009. The Conference was inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and attended by 2000 delegates. Around 50 leading economists attended the conference.
Dr. Panda has rich administrative experience as well. Dr. Panda also served School and Mass Education Department, Governemnt of Orissa as Assistant Director (Planning) in Orissa Primary Education Programme Authority for a period of six and half years (between March 1998- September 2004 ) . Job profile includes academic (Research and Module Preparation), managerial and administrative functions. Preparation of Budget, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of Activities, Training to functionaries on participatory and decentralized planning, Conduct surveys and analysis, disbursement of funds, recruitment of functionaries at District level, Policy Intervention and Administrative Reforms, sutanability plans were some of his responsibilities.
In his M.Phil. and Ph.D. he has worked extensively on development economies. He has more than fifteen publications. Under Dr. Panda’s guidance one Ph.D. scholar has already submitted his Ph.D. thesis.

Dr Rupakjyoti Borah has been working as an Assistant Professor of International Relations at the School of Liberal Studies, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gujarat, India since September 2011.
He has completed his M.A, M.Phil and Ph.D from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Dr Borah has published in prestigious international publications like the New Zealand International Review and the Peace and Conflict Monitor, published by the United Nations-mandated University of Peace, Costa Rica, besides in journals, books, newspapers and magazines all across India and the world. His works have been published in The Korea Times (South Korea), the Nikkei Weekly (Japan), The Sydney Morning Herald (Australia), CSIS Pacific Forum (USA), Future Directions International (Australia), RSIS Commentaries(the Rajaratnam School of International Relations) Singapore, Jerusalem Post(Israel), Jakarta Globe(Indonesia) among others. In India, he has published in the edit pages of national newspapers like The Times of India and the Hindustan Times.
He has been interviewed on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), on SBS Australia, DNA (India), the New Indian Express (India) and many other publications in India. Dr Borah has travelled to Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Portugal, Spain, Taiwan, Japan, U.K, Singapore, China, Turkey, the United States, Malaysia and Indonesia for academic purposes. He has been a Visiting Fellow at the Centre of International Studies, University of Cambridge (U.K), a Visiting Research Fellow at the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) in Tokyo and a Visiting Fellow at the Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy, the Australian National University (ANU), Australia.
Dr Borah in cooperation with the Public Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India has organized the Public Diplomacy Lecture Series at PDPU. As part of the same, Ambassador Navdeep Suri(currently Ambassador of India to Egypt), Mrs Riva Ganguly Das(Former Joint Secretary, Public Diplomacy Division) and Retired Ambassador A Gopinathan, former Indian permanent representative to the UN(Geneva) have delivered lectures at PDPU.
As a two-time fellow of the Australian Government’s Australia-India Council Fellowship (once in the senior category and once in the junior category), Dr Borah has undertaken research at the University of Western Australia, Curtin University of Technology, University of Queensland, Australian National University, La Trobe University, Monash University and the University of New South Wales. While in Japan, Dr Borah has delivered lectures in prestigious universities like Chuo University, Gakushuin University, Dokkyo University, Waseda University, the International Christian University and the Japan Institute for National Fundamentals. In October 2012, he presented a paper at the CSIS (Centre for Strategic and International Studies) in Washington D.C.,U.S.A. one of the world’s pre-eminent think tanks. In Singapore, Dr Borah has delivered talks at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), NUS, Singapore and at the Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS).

Dr. Sanjay Kumar Pradhan completed his M.A., M. Phil and Ph.D. from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi), and awarded with NET (UGC, Government of India) and Centrally Sponsored Doctoral Fellowship (ICSSR, Government of India) during his study. Before joining Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, he worked as Junior Project Fellow in the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT, New Delhi) and Assistant Professor in Political Science in the Faculty of Arts, Science and Commerce division of Mody Institute of Technology & Science (MITS, Rajasthan, India). With post-Ph.D. research and teaching experience of 9 years, he has, till date, 31 publications in various journals of repute such as Indian Foreign Affairs Journal, World Affairs, The Indian Journal of Social Work, Asian Studies, Asian Profile, World Focus, Geopolitics and Journal of Peace Studies. Dr. Santosh Kumar is Professor of Public Administration. He was awarded Doctorate in Politics from JNU, New Delhi on the topic “Theory and Practice of Federalism in USSR since 1985”. He was awarded UGC- sponsored JRF and SRF in Political Science, and visited IREES, Department of Political Science, University of Glasgow on a short-term Fellowship to complete his doctoral thesis. Prior to joining SLS-PDPU, he has taught as in the School of Rural Development, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, and Post Graduate Programme of Development Sector at Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Ahmedabad, with total teaching experience spanning to 14 years. He specializes in Development Politics and has wide-ranging experiences in teaching and training from the grass roots to policy advocacy.
He is member of the International team of resource persons associated with the World Bank Institute on various Social Accountability Tools viz. Social Audit, Community Score Cards, Citizen’s Report Cards, Citizen’s Charter, etc. In this capacity, he has been part of the team in implementing various Community Driven Development (CDD) Projects within the Macro Context of Human Development and Growth in association with the various state governments of India (Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, etc.), and Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh in South Asian.
